Six ski areas north of Arvika
Ski Sunne is 50 minutes from Arvika by car. Hovfjället near Torsby is under two hours north, and Branäs, near Sysslebäck, is two and a half hours.
Kläppen and Lindvallen in Sälen, and Trysil across the border in Norway, are three and a half to four and a quarter hours away, and suit a longer day or a night away. For cross-country skiing, Kärrsmossen has a 6 km track close to town.
